Oh, I’m doing very very well. My teeth are feeling awesome, and it’s been great around here. So they replaced both the bottoms and the tops of my teeth and they mounted them permanently. What happens if I have lost all my teeth?

When people have lost all their pearly whites they become what in Dentistry we call an “edentulous patient“. Edentulous comes from the Latin edentulus, which means missing or absent teeth. You will hear dentists talk about this because there is a large percent of the population over 60 years old that have lost every single tooth on their mouths. You will also hear the term “partially edentulous“, obviously meaning you still have some teeth left in your mouth.

Can you get All-on-4 with Sedation Dentistry?

When people come to get All-on-4 or any other dental implant treatment in Cancun, they ask if its going to hurt and if they can be put to sleep during the surgery. We always reassure our patients that All-on-4 only requires local anesthesia but you might opt for Sedation Dentistry. We have a licensed anesthesiologist for this purpose.

The first thing you should know is that Sedation Dentistry is NOT general anesthesia, which means you won’t be put to sleep but you won’t remember a thing of what’s happening and you will be able to follow the doctor’s directions during the surgery. How is it possible to get a new smile with only 4 dental implants?

The All-on-4 dental implant protocol is a treatment plan where implants are placed strategically (2 implants are parallel and the other 2 tilted at 45 degrees) so that it has a good mechanical retention to support the titanium bar.

 

How long do the All-on-4 dentures last?

A mixed dental implant solution with All-on-4

For today’s post about All-on-4, we will talk about our dear patient June Penny who made a video about her journey to get the smile of her dreams. It all started about three years ago, when June began doing extensive research about implant dentures and her possible options to perform this procedure. Returning All-on-4 Happy Patient!

We were so happy to have Carl back again at our clinic for his follow up on his All-on-4 dental implant treatment. He was with us in November for a combined treatment of crowns and All-on-4 implants. This time he got some adjustments and still is very satisfied with his new wonderful smile.

We hosted the 8th Live Implant Surgery Maxicourse in Cancun!

We would like to share with you some of the amazing things dental implant events we do in our dental clinic. Last week we had the visit from a dozen American dentists that were eager to train under Doctor German Arzate and Doctor John Minichetti‘s supervision to learn the most advanced dental implant techniques. This is the 8th time we have hosted this important course in Cancun.

Together with the AAID and the Dental Implant Learning Center on Englewood, New Jersey, we look forward for students to gain experience, fine tune their skills and help people in need in Mexico. We benefit over 50 people in need of new teeth, and place over 100 implants over the course of 3 days.
